With constrained supply, many businesses need to take the bull by the horns and make S&OP family-level executive decisions on where to allocate limited supply. But how?
This week, we’ll get into the flow of decisions on WHICH demand to allocate from constrained supply. We will also discuss appropriate interaction with mix-level constraints, which we typically can ignore at the S&OP family level but may need to be considered, particularly with today’s supply chain landscape.
In Part 3, we looked at “unconstrained demand” vis a vis “constrained shipments.”
In Part 4, we looked at unconstrained demand tolerances and accountability for execution.
